Matthew D. Wheelock
Founded in 2009, Matt is the principal and founding partner of The Wheelock Law Firm.  Matt brings to the firm a diverse background, including five years of management experience at two Fortune 500 corporations, followed by three years as corporate counsel of a mid-sized general contracting firm.  In addition to his time in the corporate world, Mr. Wheelock spent two years at a boutique New York City law firm focused on family and personal injury law.  Mr. Wheelock's practice has been focused on estate planning, contract negotiations, corporate formation and transactions, real estate law, and construction law.  Mr. Wheelock believed that in starting his own practice, he could be more effective in helping people advance their goals, whether in the formation of their own businesses or in establishing a legacy for their family through an estate plan.  The Wheelock Law Firm has allowed Mr. Wheelock to fully realize his passion for helping people pursue their dreams and protect their assets.  Mr. Wheelock now aids numerous high-profile clients in both their business and personal pursuits.

Mr. Wheelock holds a Juris Doctor degree from New York Law School in New York City, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland.

Mr. Wheelock is admitted to practice law in the State of Ohio by The Ohio Supreme Court and has been active in a number of professional organizations including the Ohio State Bar Association, the Geauga County Bar Association, Geauga County Community Improvement Corporation, and the Burton Chamber of Commerce.  Mr. Wheelock sits on the board of directors for Christian Outreach of Ohio Professionals (CO-OP), a non-profit organization focused on providing professional services to under-served populations.  Additionally, Matt is a certified Ohio High School Athletic Association Wrestling Official and sits on executive board for the Northeast Ohio Wrestling Officials Association.
